The GameCycle at Walter Reed and in VA Medical Centers Nationwide

In 2005, Walter Reed Army Medical Center purchased a GameCycle to provide a novel upper body exercise outlet for the soldiers that they serve. In 2006, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) followed Walter Reed's lead.

The VA has placed over 20 GameCycles in VA Clinics across the country, many of which are part of their Polytrauma Program for wounded soldiers returning from the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why? Because the GameCycle offers a unique set of compelling rehabilitation benefits: The GameCycle and its video game interface: 1) make rehab regimens fun, 2) encourage compliance with rehab routines, 3) facilitate exercise/cardiovascular benefits, and 4) provide critical neuro rehab benefits.
